This year has been a tough season for everyone, even the states in the south went through some cold, icy days.
I live in NC. I'm more fortunate than most. Still, us southerners’ endured temperatures we haven't felt in years, thank goodness; spring has finally arrived.
I think about the days ahead and fantasize of the times to come. I enjoy sitting outside and writing. I like to walk and go to flea markets. I'm also daydreaming about sitting beside a lake with a good book and a fishing pole.
Along with the thoughts of new beginnings for this season, I'm charged with inspiration. Characters run amuck in my mind with notions about their lives. I have two stories developing and spend hours trying to think of fresh ideas to get the word out about my novels.
I used to think the Internet highway was vast, but now that I'm traveling the web almost every day and seeking ways to let readers know about Escape to Big Fork Lake and Stone of Destiny. I find it's really a small world. As I'm spreading news about novels, I'm also finding great reads for my fellow authors.
The wonders of reading are everywhere, and it's good to be part of the group that takes pleasure in reading.
What do you enjoy doing in the summer?
