![]() March 20th was spring. I imagine that I speak for many people when I say, “Spring couldn’t dawn its head fast enough.” This winter has been trying to say the least. What can we do when we’re bogged down by the change in the weather or we have situations that make us blue? The only beneficial way to handle what life sometimes tosses our way is to stay positive. I like to read inspiring sayings and verses. My first venue for encouragement is the Bible. God’s word is packed with motivational scriptures to help give us strength. Below are just a few helpful quotes the make you think of the good things. Theses verses are form the King James Version. Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Here are some other inspirational quotes that will give you a smile on a bleak day. George Eliot “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” Franklin D. Roosevelt “When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot, and hang on.” Ralph Waldo Emerson “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” Roy Goodman “Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.” This is a good one.
Mark Twain “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” They’re so many wonderful sayings that can life your spirits. Do you have a favorite inspiration?
