It's my pleasure to have with me this week Linda weaver Clark.

Let me start with asking you to tell us a little about yourself.

I travel throughout the U.S. teaching people how to write their family history and autobiography. I have been to 17 states and taught over 450 workshops. I believe it’s very important to teach our children their heritage. Our children need to be proud of their ancestors. It’s up to us to write these experiences down. This is a subject very dear to my heart. After writing my ancestors' and parents’ stories, I couldn’t stop writing so I turned to sweet romances and mysteries. I’m the author of 5 romances, 4 mystery/adventure novels, a children’s book, and a new cozy mystery series.

What is The Shamrock Case about?

Amelia Moore, the founder of the Moore Detective Agency, specializes in missing persons. Her cases have taken her to some very interesting places and put her in some dangerous situations, but she always solves the case. With the help of her partner, Rick Bonito, the business is flourishing.

When Amelia is hired to search for her client’s grandparents, the case takes them to Ireland. Kate must learn about her heritage. Who are her grandparents and could they still be alive after all these years? Why did her parents leave Ireland suddenly and move to America? Is there more to this case than meets the eye?

What inspired you to write The Shamrock Case?

I believe it’s important to understand our heritage, which is the subject of this novel. The inspiration for this book was my great grandfather Daniel Gamble who was from Ireland. His family disowned him because he joined a new religion that they did not approve of. Daniel’s father died when he was only eighteen. So when his mother and brother disowned him, he decided to go to America. I imagined the broken hearts when they finally realized their mistake in disowning their son and brother, simply because of pride. I wondered if his mother and brother ever regretted what they had said and done. My great grandfather never saw them again.

What is the main thing you hope readers remember from this story?

I want my readers to realize the importance of knowing our heritage. We are the people we are because of our ancestors, our grandparents, and our parents.

What is your favorite scene/chapter?

I love how Rick helps Amelia accomplish a few things on her bucket list such as taking her to see a couple of castles. I love the last chapter when Amelia figures out the real secret about her client’s adoption. When Amelia introduces Kate to her grandparents, I had to keep wiping the tears from my eyes as I wrote that last chapter.
