Before I begin my post. I need to share. :-) Woke-up to a note from my publisher. "Escape to Big Fork Lake" was on Amazon's best sellers list for Christian Suspense. Hey, I know those list are fleeting, but it's nice for an hour.
There’s a funny commercial, or is it dumb… anyway it grabs people’s attention. The silly blond says, “they can’t put anything that’s not true on the Internet."
I wonder. Do people really believe that? Years ago maybe, when the information highway first took flight some lived with that thought.
I remember my first jolt with the wide world of web. Yes, the beginning-meaning it wasn’t around when I was a youngster so there have you, I told my age, anyway, on with my point.
The start of my travels with the Internet, I assumed it to be a wonderland,
containing unlimited information. Back then I wondered how all that knowledge
gathered together for people to retrieve.
Oh the times past. Since then, I’ve had a rude awaken.
I am not only an author, but contribute non-fiction to a weekly Christian site and in my spare time (whenever that happens) I write web content. It amazes my husband, I can write a 500 word article about changing brakes on a car or building a gazebo, but have never done any of these,(nor do I intend to.)
I say “research” that’s the name for the game. We have replaced the encyclopedias with the Internet. Let’s just hope that everyone who contributes strives to be as accurate as they can with facts, because we now depend on computers to answer all kinds of question, especially if you’re a writer.
Join the party. Lots of entertaining reading and fun giveaways.
a new place to meet, read, and fellowship…
Hurray, the ground hog did not see his shadow, if you believe in that old tale.
I’ve always wondered how the poor animal couldn’t help, but see his silhouette when he’s pulled out of his bed and tossed in front of cameras and lights.
Anyway, the story goes that he doesn’t see his likeness, then we have an early spring. I’m pumped, ready for a new season.
Spring has always been my favorite time of the year. The newness opens' possibilities and gives everyone a chance to see life a little differently.
In the winter, things are dead, then comes spring, and with it, a brand-new start. We can move forward into an unused time within the year, and the wonder of renewed life.
One of my favorite things to do is just
get outside and enjoy the sunshine. I like to go to the lake, fishing, hiking and picnicking. What activity do you envision for warm-weather?
It’s not far away, time to dust off those favorite flip-flops.
